Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Aranthev (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a non-profit association based in Paris, France. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your personal data.

Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us directly. This website does not require you to create an account, and we do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics tools.

  • Contact form — when you fill out the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, reason for contact, and message.
  • Direct correspondence — if you email us or otherwise contact us directly, we collect whatever information you choose to include.

If this changes — for example, if we begin using cookies or analytics — we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only to:

  • Respond to your inquiries, membership requests, donation questions, volunteering interest, press requests, and partnership proposals.
  • Keep an internal record of our correspondence with you.
  • Follow up with you about the specific request you submitted.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it to third parties.

Donations

Online donations made through the “Donate now” link on our Donate page are processed entirely by HelloAsso, an independent donation platform. You provide your payment information directly to HelloAsso, not to Aranthev — we never see or store your card details. HelloAsso’s own privacy policy governs how they handle your data.

If you donate by bank transfer, we receive only the information included with your transfer (such as your name and reference) from our bank, which we use to record and acknowledge your donation.

Who We Share Your Information With

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run this website and respond to you, and only to the extent necessary for them to provide their service:

  • Formspree, which processes submissions from our contact form and delivers them to our team by email.
  • HelloAsso, which processes online donations (see “Donations” above).
  • Our website hosting and content management infrastructure, which stores the content of this website (this does not include contact form submissions, which go directly to Formspree).

We do not share your information with any other third party.

Cookies and Tracking

This website does not currently use cookies, analytics tools, or advertising trackers of any kind. If that changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before doing so.

Data Retention

We keep contact form submissions and correspondence only for as long as needed to respond to your request and to keep a reasonable record of our communications, and we delete or anonymize it once it is no longer needed for those purposes or for a legal obligation we may have.

Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) over the personal information we hold about you, including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive your information in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), the French data protection authority, or your local supervisory authority.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information you share with us, including relying on reputable third-party service providers for form processing, donations, and hosting. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date.
